RX-93-v-2 Update!

As you might remember, I've promised you some updates on the Hi-Nu Gundam.

Well.....
Here are what's completed on it!
Still have both arms, the funnels and the stickers to put on!

I've also made my mind about what I'm going to use for my step-by-step GUNPLA building post. I'll use the MSN-001A1 Delta Plus kit I've bought last weekend. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I will!

I'll keep you posted!

FATE / STAY night.

Earlier this weekend, I was listening to Danny Choo talk about his top 10 Anime Figure and one caught my eye. The FATE / STAY night SABER Triumphant Excalibur figure looks so awesome that I actually had to investigate and started watching the anime last night.
I always been, and will stay, be a SciFi fan. F/Sn is more into the fantastic category, but the whole plot dragged me in more and more, and I can say I actually enjoy the whole thing pretty much! The characters are well presented, the main theme well conceived and does have a lot to offer.

So, yes,I do recommend this anime!

Enjoy, and have a great Monday!

Danny Choo's Culture : Japan Season 1 Digest

I'd love to be in Danny's shoes for a week.

Seriously. I think his work is simply amazing, he's pushing great ideas and making the whole Japanese culture so easy to approach and acknowledge. Last Friday, he released the digest for the 1st season of Culture : Japan with most of the best moments from this year.

Enjoy!

Note : The RX-93-v-2 is progressing! I'll keep you informed!

A Quiet Saturday Night.

One thing that annoy me sometime about my work is the fact that I'm always surrounded by people no matter where I go. Fortunately for me, one thing I've enjoyed every time since I joined is the fact that I can spend a Saturday night, by myself, with nothing else than a GUNPLA kit, some markers, my modelling gear and two or three seasons of any MS : Gundam I'm in a mood to listen to.

Tonight, I've started the Rx-93-v-2 Hi-Nu Gundam. It's already been over 2 hours, and I can
see myself spending the next couple of days working on it. It won't be an easy task, but I'm fairly excited about building the most powerful Gundam ever created! Originally, I was planning to watch MS :G Char's Counterattack, but after this break, I think I'll start the first season of 00 and keep on going until the end of season 2. I'm lucky to have a 47 inch TV near my workbench, so I'll use it to the fullest of it's capacity!

I'll try to keep you posted on my progress by tomorrow afternoon.

Back Home/Saturday Shopping/Wicked Links.

I got back yesterday. Damn, it just feels great to be back home! Had a great meal with a great friend of mine, a good bottle of wine and a wicked night of sleep in my own bed. I do love my work, but it can be exhausting. But anyway, I'm back in Halifax now and have some time off to enjoy my favorite hobby, GUNPLA building!

So this morning, I decided it was time I visit the folks at BIGPFEIFFER. They always surprise me with more wicked GUNPLA kits everytime I stop by the shop, and today, again, I grabbed 2 of their kits in order to enjoy my time off work.

I know, you'll all say : "But, you still have the Hi-Nu Gundam and the Patlabor INGRAM to build, why did you bought more?". Well folks....some people are addicted to drugs, some are alcoholics or other are workaholic. I love GUNPLA. If you haven`t figured that out yet, you're probably new to my blog.

So let's starts today's input with some links I've found lately, thanks to some friends!

The first one ( http://tomopop.com/custom-delights-a-freedom-gundam-made-out-of-cardboard-16544.phtml ) is featuring a cardboard-made Freedom Gundam. Yes! Cardboard! The thing is HUGE! Go see the pictures on the link for more infos about it!

Second link of the day is actually a video found from YOUTUBE. Some people are amazing at what they're doing. Well, this guy built a transformable V2 Gundam out of LEGO brick. Yes.
Look at it! Everything's there!

Now, part 2, Shopping! So today, I've got my hands on 2 kits and the 2010 Gundam Catalog.
WHAT? A CATALOG? Well...yes. It's the 30th Anniversary Edition, and I can now look forward for more kits!

The first kit I got my hands on was the RX-78PG03S Gundam"Dendrobium Stamen". After watching Stardust Memory, I tough that would be a great addition to my collection! Yes? No? You answered no? Wrong answer! The second one is a kit that just got release not that long ago,

The second kit is the MSN-001A1 Delta Plus kit from GUNDAM UNICORN. It's a HG model, but the suit look so mean and powerful with the dark grey color scheme. I might build it today or tomorrow, if I have time!

Also, let's have a little spoiler! I was talking with the folks at BIGPFEIFFER while digging in the GUNPLA catalogue. If you attend ANIMARITIME, you might see a 1/400 PTOLEMAIOS model kit from Gundam 00 Season 1. For real! Are you excited? I am!

Sailing Under The Stars.

Kowmbawa. Genki?

Life can be hard sometime, don't you think? I'm currently down south, near the Caribeans, at work. Yes, I do work sometime!

I haven't posted in the last month, so I tought that tonight should be a good night to let you know about some future projects!

I've talked recently with Mark from BIGPFEIFFER, asking about the possibility to get my hands on the newly AMS-129 GEARA ZULU [Guard Type] that just got released and realized that I should finaly add the ZGMF-Z56S IMPULSE to my collection. I've figured out after seeing a wicked picture from an online artist that the IMPULSE was one of the missing pieces of my collection.

Have you looked at the new Titanium Finish Sinanju and Unicorn? The Unicorn looks allright, but the Sinanju is simply amazing. The Titanium Finish gives a whole new look to that already amazing looking model.

I'll also move soon to a new place. This new apartment should give me the opportunity to build up a real workbench to keep working on multiple kits. I'll also be able to finally put my whole Bleach Posters collection rigged the way they're intented to be in my living room. I'll post pictures of the new place as soon as I'm installed in my new place. More to come.

Right now, waiting for me at home, are the Hi-Nu Gundam and a Patlabor Ingram with Police lights (I'm sure you're as excited as I am to build that thing. I think I'll do a whole Step-By-Step post about this model. Would you like that?)

I'm supposed to be back in Halifax around February the 18th. I'm pretty sure the first night's gonna be a write off since couples of friends are planning to drag me around town in various bars and pubs.

2011 will be a busy year for me.

Oh, and advice of the week :

"If she looks too awesome, if she sounds too awesome, if she seems to awesome and still look interested by you, don't fall for it. It's a trap!"

Have a great week!
