SHIN MUSHA COMPLETED/SAILING AWAY.

Wow....over a hundred visit today!

Thanks all folks! Lots of you form Malaysia and Thailand! I'm impressed!

Well, today's my last day in Canada for the next couple of weeks! My work ask me sometime to travel around the globe (for my own pleasure I can say!) and I might not post as often as I do when I'm in Halifax.

Don't be scared, I'll still be letting you know what's shaking in the wonderful world of mine and what are the new geek stuff I got my hands on!

Well, today, I completed SHIN MUSHA GUNDAM!
I started the whole construction before Xmas, but due to a
lack of time, I was only able to complete it today. This kit is a great one to build. Not too exhaustive or funky ( ie : Sinanju ) and I really had a blast building it! The leg are one of the most fun and easy parts I've ever build. It they were always like that I'm pretty sure I'd have way more fun building the legs (they're my less favorite part to build....).

There's a lot of pieces that comes from the RX-78-2 kit. You'll recognize them easily! The marker work and the stickers are minimal on that kit. I don't think I'll put more time for that. It already look amazing!

I might get an action base for it tho. I'll see to that when I'm back from my work trip. I might even bring more goodies back!

I've also received the last manga of MS : Gundam 00F this week. Jen at Strange Adventures really does miracle. I've asked her to find me 00V and 00P next. I'm planning to fill a whole bookshelf of manga in my next apartment. It will look so dope!

And I couldn't wait. I had to crack open an go through the instructions. This model is so huge, the action base provided with it is amazing! The most powerful Gundam ever build really does have a fine model. Do you know which one I'm talking about? Come on folks! You're better than that!
Yes, the RX-93-V-2 Hi-Nu Gundam!

It will be the next one I'll build.

Take care!

The Fourth Season.

I don't watch TV that much....

Alright, I watch a lot of anime and sci-fi movies. But not a lot of actual TV shows are entertaining me that much. But why is there always an exception to the rule?

For now what.....3 seasons (I was late for the first one!) I've been watching The Big Bang Theory as much as I can. And if I wasn't able to catch it on the day, I was streaming it the following (shit happens heh!) day. Streaming if simply the next best thing after The Return Of The Jedi and Mobile Suit Gundam. Anyway....

I was texting a really good (and good looking too!) girlfriend of mine during the commercial breaks and she asked me "How Can People Live Happily Without Knowing That Show?"

Good question, good question indeed!

I know for myself that I love that show for one main reason. I kinda recognize myself in the characters! I do agree I don't have a Master or a PhD, but I can relate to a lot of stuff. And in our generation, lots of us are like those guys. I'd like to have a PhD eventually tho....one day maybe!

I do hope you watch that show.
If you don't you're either :
1-Hopeless
2-Cableless
3-Brainless
4-Too stuck up in your guido/douchebag lifestyle (and by the way, if that's your case, WTF are you doing reading my blog?)
5-Being an idiot
6-Being a retarded football jock
7-Missing the point here.

TBBT IS THE GREATEST SIT COM EVER CREATER.
NO MORE DISCUSSION!

Fan Service, Ya or Nay?

For years now, it's always been a debate.
Is Fan Service a decent thing to do with our favorite anime girls? Some will argue yes, other no, but in the long run, its all of us, even the ones against it that enjoy it. We,North Americans, have a fetish for humongous breasts. Face it. In today's society, it's all about bigger, better, stronger. We can derive that from the 90's porn industry and television market that brought us shows like Baywatch and many more.

The anime female characters were always well equipped. Think about Misato from NEON
GENESIS EVANGELION or Nina Purpleton from MSG 0083 : STARDUST MEMORY. We probably reached a brand new level with Gundam 00 (see the picture above if you're not familiar with the females from the show) or even Highschool Of The Dead. I can't say I didn't like those anime. In fact, they're part of the small category I can call my favorites. But do we give the wrong image of what we really like in anime with the whole Fan Service thingy?

Right now, Internet is flooded with porn. Yes, porn. An lately, I've seen more and more Hentai stuff popping....why? Because search engines classified them in the same bracket. and that's wrong!

Fan Service is a thing. Who doesn't like a cute girl in bikini or in underwear? We can see them all over the place in ads and even in buses. So it's the same thing, but as an anime! So why people
look at those with disgust?

Because they're so easily associated with Hentai! And what is Hentai? Hentai is porn!

So, with those stupid references, they all think that every guy and/or gal that watches anime is a freak and/or a god damned pervert. I don't think I'm a pervert! I probably watch porn as much as anybody you know, if not less!

I am for Fan Service. The manga and anime artists in Japan and all over the world are drawing wonderful creatures. Let's enjoy their work.

What's playing right now in my room!

Lately? I've been old school. Like REAL old school!

Last night I've finished STARDUST MEMORY. That's a bad ass serie.
Today, at work, the doc told me I was still sick, so he sent me home for 2 days and told me to rest. Well...guess what I do?

REST!

So now, I'm watching the 08th MS Team.

It does have one of the best opening of all the Gundam series.

I hope you watched it before! No? Get on it private!

What I should have posted this weekend!

Well folks. I did forgot some stuff this weekend!

First, I finally completed Sinanju.
Yes, I've started it a while ago. Like in October or November....
Well...I had some problems with it, had to get stuff to fix my mistakes....anyway! It's now completed!

I didn't used the stickers for the gold. I've painted it instead using the CITADEL SHINING GOLD (Available in any good Games Workshop Hobby Store!). I hate using stickers for big or long surfaces.

Now, a quick review about the model!

Are you a beginner? If the answer is YES, do not try this model.
Are you a once-in-a-while builder? If the answer is YES, do not try this model
You like challenge? You like swearing at models? You like freaking out when stuff doesn't work the way they suppose to be? If you answered YES to all those answers, BUY THIS MODEL!

It's an amazing one. Really. It looks amazing on its action base. But it did gave me hell of a time.
It's sitting next to EXIA Avalanche, and I keep looking at them right now. Damn. It's a wicked model!

Another thing?
I cracked open the INGRAM box and took a peek at the building instruction. I'm like a kid that knows whats under the Xmas tree but cant open it right now.

I'll post more pictures soon!

I Can't Wait Anymore.

Okay folks.
It's already been a couple of months since the release of the Gundam 00 Movie. You all know that I've been waiting religiously to watch it on blu ray, in order to make sure that all the creators have the money they deserve for creating something as wicked as that movie.

But there's a f*cking limit about how long I can wait. The guys at BANDAI and SUNRISE must really think that North America don't give a hell about Gundam. There's like thousands of Gundam fans here, and we're all waiting for one single thing! Well....maybe two if you think about Gundam Unicorn Ep.3, anyway.

WE WANT THE GUNDAM 00 MOVIE!

Is it that hard to understand?

I lost hope.
Here are the links. No subtitles.
RAW F*CKING JAPANESE.
I don't encourage stealing and ripping, but that's too much for me.

Hope you enjoy!

What a way to start 2011!

Happy New Year!

May 2011 be fun, awesome and filled with great animes and mangas! Here, in Halifax, I'm sick as a dog. I was thinking it was just a simple flu, but it's slowly turning into something worse, and I f*cking hate to be sick! Anyway, I'm not here to talk to you about my health, but to show you what I just picked up at BIGPFEIFFER!

Like I said last week, they received my order and I was fairly excited to get my hands on my MG 1/35 INGRAM from PATLABOR. But that wasn't the only thing I've picked up this morning! I was able to get my hands on the A-15 ARAEL-XX figure from NEON GENESIS EVANGELION. It's not an actual angel from the serie/movies but more like an interpretation of what the angel would look like as a girl.

I've also received more Gundam Markers since some of mine are slowly getting overused and 2 action stands. My top shelf is slowly overflowing with figures and I'm hoping to free up some space with that! The AVALANCHE and the KSHATRIYA are probably going to be on them! I'll show you the result when they're assembled.

I'm telling you again. Go see the BIGPFEIFFER store in the HARBOURVIEW Market in Dartmouth on the weekend. They just received a HUGE load of GUNPLAs and more figures. I'm really glad I've found that store since they're so easy to work with and they will do everything they can to find what you're looking for! The PATLABOR kit wasn't an easy one, and I'm glad they were able to get it!
